Kansas City Current: 2025 Stadium Animations
For the KC Current 2025 season, I worked with a team of graphic designers and motion designers to create a suite of in-stadium animations. I was personally responsible for the creation of the Starting XI animations which play before each match to present which players will be playing. This includes a Starting XI animation and matching ribbon boards for all 26 players, titles, as well as transitions and other elements that were used across the full package.
These title cards were created to introduce each category of players.
This is one example of the assets created for each player. The Starting XI asset needed to be made in two different sizes, one for social media usage and one for the LED board in-stadium.
In addition to this, I had to create matching assets to play on the ribbon boards simultaneously.
These are some earlier versions of the main asset. I first created a few variations to share with the client, and after implementing their feedback I created a template to save time creating the other variants for each player.
